Our Credentials:
Sandy Schlager has been involved in horses since developing a horse crazy attitude with her first pony ride at 2 years old. Riding and caring for her own horses has taught her the value of good, sound minded horses, the training that it takes to have a great horse instead of just a horse and how much enjoyment people of all ages get from owning their own great horse.
Her lifelong dream has been to give other horse people an affordable alternative to the expensive boarding facilities, while still providing quality services to the horse and horse owner. Sandy started her first boarding ranch in 1995 in Vacaville CA which is still in operation today.
Jeff, being a Wyoming native is very familiar with how livestock and horses should be handled and managed. He has been involved in the horse and cattle industry for most of his life. His favorite riding is out on the trail or taking the horses up to the moutains for the great riding opportunities to be found in this wonderful state.
When Jeff and Sandy met in 2003, among a myriad of other things they had in common, they realized their dream of owning a horse boarding ranch in Colorado could come true.
After several years of searching for the right property, they purchased a property with huge potential but not much else. Our clients appreciate the huge endeavor that we have undertaken to make this piece of property into what it is today.
The 5 stall barn is now fully furnished with heated tack room, feed room, heated waterers, and large runs. There is a picnic area and refrigerator for clients to keep their lunches and beverages cold while working their horses.
The 3 stall barn is currently being renovated to make sure horses stalled there will have the same safe, clean environment to live in as in the main barn.
The three pastures range from 1.5 acres to 12+ acres to make sure our pasture lovers have plenty of room to roam as well.
